Even though Portal 1 & 2 are some of the best games released in the past few years, I would never think about combining the elements from those games with the classic Super Mario Bros. But it happened, it’s called Mari0, and it’s free.
Two genre defining games from completely different eras: Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros. and Valve’s Portal. These two games managed to give Platformers and First-Person Puzzle Games a solid place in the video game world. But what if Nintendo teamed up with Valve and recreated the famous Mario game with Portal gun mechanics?
This game actually came out over the weekend but when I played it then, I didn’t like it. Then I came back and played the game with a joystick (Like a sane person) and enjoyed it plus all the added extra stuff like skins, level design, & multiplayer (Multiplayer?) They have versions for Windows, OSX, & even Linux.
Sidenote: Don’t be surprised if this gets taken down by Nintendo one day.
