The rapper was arrested in January 2007, for breaking a display model mobile phone, during an argument at a T-Mobile store in Manhattan.
According to the New York Daily News, G. Dep's bail was set at $750, but he stayed on Rikers Island for almost a month, because he could not come up with the money.

This is one of G. Dep’s best songs. I have liked this song from the moment I heard it. I always wondered why this guy never got that big break. He had made some noise with Let’s Get It, but nothing happened. When he came with this one, I knew that it was about to happen. Still nothing changed and G. Dep was back on the block. He supposedly is trying to make a comeback, if so I want to hear some new material! Enjoy this one, because who knows when some new joints will fall through!
