I said it once and I’ll say it again; "Kick In The Door" is Biggie’s best song ever. I know people reading this will have others songs by Biggie to suggest, but this song basically has no flaws. With production by the great DJ Premier, who samples "I Put A Spell On You" by Screamin' Jay Hawkins for the track, there couldn’t be a better beat for B.I.G. to get gutter on. While a lot of rap songs suffer by not having consistent verses, each verse of this song is straight fire. When you throw in that Nas himself admitted that this was a jab at him (Like we didn’t know) and bring up that the Mad Rapper skit preceding this song is hilarious; you got a classic. Even after 10 years of this release, lyrically it still holds up to generally anything released after it.
