What is Ellie doing?! I’m over here patiently waiting for her next album and she releases a song with Juice WRLD. Is she pandering to another audience besides her pop world? Is she appropriating Hip-Hop? Just look at the cover art! Gold Chains?!? The Swae Lee collaboration with Diplo, “Close To Me” is catchy and turned out better than my expectations and after the first listen I’m definitely going to listen to this Juice WRLD assisted single again. Job well done to the British pop-star.
Now I gotta try listening to her other single, “Sixteen,” again. Maybe I’ll like the acoustic version more.
