Song of the Week: The Controllers – “Getting Over You”

I finally listened to Victory Lap last week. While I appreciated the sequel to my favorite Neighborhood Nip song, “Keys 2 The City” on his major label debut; the standout track for me was the last joint, “Right Hand 2 God.” The Mike & Keys/155 or Nothin/My Guy Mars production features a sample of a song from an Alabama group produced by Frederick Knight.

From Birmingham, Lenard Brown, Reginald McArthur (R.I.P.), Ricky Lewis (R.I.P.), and Larry McArthur (R.I.P.), collectivelly known as The Controllers released their sophomore album, Fill Your Life With Love, in 1978 featuring the song I’m sharing today, “Getting Over You. Please take the advice from their album title, I promise you will be happier.
