A few months ago, a YouTube ad started playing in the middle of the video I was watching (Sidenote: YouTube, If I’m watching a video longer than 20 minutes don’t sneak a five min ad in there because I’ll just have it playing thinking it’s only a 30-second ad because I placed my phone somewhere in the room to play while I’m doing something else). Anyway, the video for “Complicated” by Massachusetts singer, Raiche played and not only did it make me go visit the sample from her song and the song from Jay-Z’s “This Can’t Be Life”, (” I Miss You” by Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes) I hit subscribe on her channel. Weeks later, she released her debut EP, Drive and the seven-song collection lets you know that this is an artist that you be aware of for 2019.
