Playlist: Manolo Rose, Rick Ross, & LE$

Welcome back to Playlist. It’s basically a space where I feature songs I didn’t have time to write about previously.

It’s also a place where I can post up timely pictures, like the latest meme of Jay-Z. Yes, this is what the greatest rapper of all time looks like on a jet ski and it’s hilarious (By the way, be sure to check out our review of Everything is Love). Let’s proceed.

Manolo Rose – “I Get Money”

I love the music video for Manolo Rose‘s “I Get Money”. And what’s not to like? The visuals and audio take heavy influences from movies like Paid In Full and New Jack City. This may be my favorite video of 2018 so far. Yeah, I said it.

Rick Ross feat. Smif-N-Wessun – “Capone Suite”

Yes. There is a Rick Ross song that features Cocoa Brovaz Smif-N-Wessun, has production provided by 9th Wonder, and samples Earth, Wind & Fire’s “Can’t Hide Love”. And thankfully is sounds good. I don’t know how this ended up on disc 2 of the Superfly soundtrack but I’ll take it.

LE$ – “Broken Glass”

As a huge pro wrestling fan, I’m  all for anytime it crosses with good Hip-Hop. LE$ has a whole project titled Texas Rattlesnake inspired by Stone Cold Steve Austin. “Broken Glass” is the best song off the project (In my opinion of course).
