It’s been a minute since I checked out Buddy‘s music. The last time I posted anything about him was his Idle Time mixtape back in 2014 but before that he had a buzz with his song “Awesome Awesome” in 2011.
Early this month Buddy released a new song titled “Shine” and now he releases the accompanying music video. And it’s dope. The best compliment I could pay the visuals for “Shine” is that it feels like it’s from a fully realized world. From Buddy eating cereal and the music sounding like it’s coming from his bedroom to him riding in the back of an impala, it all feels like it could be clips from a movie. Directed by Andy Hines.
“Shine” will appear on Buddy’s upcoming EP which is scheduled to drop in 2017.
