Common feat. Lil’ Herb & Cocaine 80s – “The Neighborhood”

Common

Out of all the tracks I’ve heard off Common‘s upcoming album, Nobody’s Smiling, the Lil’ Herb & Cocaine 80s featured “The Neighborhood” is so far my favorite. First off, it was a good move for Common Sense to grab fellow Chi-Town native Lil’ Herb to get on the track. I really starting fucking with Herb after listening to Welcome To Fazoland (Something I slept on at first so you won’t find a posting of it on nappyafro) and his verse on “Chi-Raq” is one of the best of 2014.

But not to slight Common. He does his thing too and it helps that this production puts me in the mind of his Be & Finding Forever eras. So yeah, this is a good track. Produced by No I.D. Nobody’s Smiling drops on June 22nd.
