Rapsody – She Got Game

I can’t wait for folks to really wake up to Rapsody. She has the skills, 9th has given her amazing production, so what’s the hold up? She gave us one of the dopest concept songs in Hip-Hop in the last 10 years with “Dark Knights” featuring. Wale. DuB and I went back and forth about if there should be a man and woman Rapper of the Year. His main argument was that separating the men from the women made it seem like a secondary honor…and I relent….I agree with him. She Got Game was a slow burner for me, but in the end, it’s not just one of the best mixtapes of the year, I think it could be mentioned in best album category, MALE OR FEMALE. Rapsody definitely got game, and she seems to have next at the same damn time. She’s out to prove that “Hip-Hop ain’t die, the radio failed.” – Saule Wright
