Now that the dust has cleared following a blockbuster set of summer releases, the mixtape game has returned to early-year form. There were big releases from longtime superstars (Wayne), vets (Fat Joe), newly minted stars (Trinidad James), and underground heroes (Stalley). Overall, there was a ton of entertaining (and free) music released this month, so let’s get into who I thought came out on top.
