No Release Date: Artists Who Are Taking Too Long To Drop An Album

No Release Date

2012 saw a lot of great releases, but there were some artists that were supposed to drop new releases but did not. Label changes, lack of buzz, wrong timing, and maybe even the fact that there projects were not done are all credible excuses. Unfortunately, some releases have been advertised for years and should be acknowledged for their resistance of coming to fruition. Disclaimer: No Detox on this list because let’s be honest do people really even care anymore? Really?

Terrance Porter (Short-T) is a good kid from Ratchet City traveling through the world, searching for success with my Bachelor’s degree from LSU in Shreveport and open mind capable of expressing opinions on various topics and sharing life experiences. My preference as a rabid fan of original, abstract visuals and music is for my entertainment and therapy. I am a living contradiction as a people person that does not like people, meaning that I am social but I am also aware of others actions which is where most of my inspiration for writing comes from.

I don’t want a Fat Joe album if it’s gonna sound anything like “Instagram That Hoe”.

I hate when artists put out a single and nothing follows…or when they put out a wicked single that gains heaps of buzz but get the album pushed back. record labels are fucking up. it kind of fucks with me when I think of the potential sales guys like Kid Cudi and Maino could have had out the gate with their debuts.
I won’t lose any sleep if any of the Cash Money/Young Money dudes don’t drop anything.

I can honestly say I don’t want an album from any of the acts mentioned outside of maybe the YMCMB camp. Hell, I anticipated this article more than any of these artists and you delivered!

Mystikal is the only person on Cash Money worth a release date (and yes, I’m including old man Busta Rhymes, who should’ve hit the rocker a while ago). I would like a Ca$h Out, a Danny Brown, and a French album, but other than that, I’d be happy if most of the people just stay on the shelf

i think mystikal and busta are the same age?

I think T.I. may drop Iggy or maybe the business wasn’t right. She had talent to me. Please no Fat Joe albums… His first few back in the day were cool but after 2005 I’m like “No sir!” I wonder what the fuck happened to Mystikal album seriously? Dude is one of the best ever to me. I still don’t understand why Birdman drop albums, I guess the world may never know
