The Most Anticipated Albums of the Summer

Last week, Complex’s Music section listed the 25 most anticipated albums that are expected to be released this summer, barring any delays. They essentially got it right. The growing popularity of hip-hop is evident with this list since not only is the number one anticipated release is from that genre, but so is the majority of the entire list. One record I believe they missed is I AM NOT A HUMAN BEING 2 by Lil Wayne but this might be because of a lack in any official statements from Cash Money Records. And chances are it’ll be delayed to the fall anyway. I don’t think they’ve released an album on time in a few years. Are there any records they missed? What do y’all think about their rankings?

       While I’M personally anticipating that album, I think I’d be shocked if the actual album does more than 250 in sales PERIOD. Folks will download it, but they ain’t gonna buy it. Unless they are capable of putting out a few hot singles before launch, it will be another album that underperforms on the charts. I mean, look at the sales of those cats individually? Ortiz only legit album got shelved so as far as we know, he has no register draw at all.

    I wouldn’t have Waka or Rocky or over Nas, Waka doesn’t have much of a buzz now at all.

        At this point I don’t think so, Nas has a decent buzz now from The Don and Daughters, what has Waka done to make any buzz in 2012?

    Jay Elec’s album is done right? Is nobody else anticipating that one, cause for me Nas and Big KRIT will all be must buys for me and possibly DMX undisputed as summer sleeper banger
