Nas – “Another Black Girl Lost”

You gotta understand something first, for a long time whenever I was dealing with a woman that was kinda wild & out there, the hook from the original “Black Girl Lost” would play in my head automatically (“Not that white stuff!”). So saying that, Nas‘ “Another Black Girl Lost” has a lot to live up to (I recall hearing something about this song during Angie Martinez’s interview with Nas). As soon as the wack hook comes on I know it won’t. Songs like this are needed in this day and time, but what’s up with the generic production? Well, maybe this was made for one person in particular…

Sidenote: Hopefully this really won’t be on Life Is Good.

    Well Nas….. This song isn’t too bad though but I’m not really feeling the hook too much. This is nowhere near as great as the Original Version but this isn’t too bad. We definitely need songs like this right now as we speak. Production isn’t bad. I can actually say I hope this isn’t on the “Life Is Good” album. Maybe it will be a bonus track instead or a throw away song

    Okay after listening to this Nas joint for the 2nd time. I could really do without this shit. I get the message he trying to make but it is nowhere near the quality of the original. Once again the hook is horrible. I really pray to god that this song will not make the album. I’ll be happy if he didn’t have the hook on there and get Ki-Ci back on that bitch.

    The hook was kinda bad in my opinion it has a good message but the way it sounds is terrible but its still a decent song but the original version is 10x’s better then this 1
