I probably would have picked another song off Camp to make a music video for, but I understand why Childish Gambino picked “Heartbeat”. Not only is the song very radio friendly, but Valentine’s Day is literally right around the corner. As for the actual music video, it’s a pretty good guess that the whole treatment is a metaphor for who’s controlling the relationship (Driver seat = Who has the most control), but I could be wrong.
