While most rappers these days have strayed away from aggressive material, Freddie Gibbs chooses to keep it gangster. Thank god. The music video for “Thuggin’” is the epitome of what the song is about. This is the kinda shit Calvin Butts would’ve protested against back in the day and I’m glad music like this is still being made.

Not only does Freddie Gibbs have a full project coming out with Madlib, he also has one coming out with Ski Beatz (For a example of this connection, checkout “Illegal” off Ski’s 24 Hour Karate School 2). Hopefully 2012 is a good year for Gibbs.

      I like Statik but he puts out way too many albums. He had around 5 collabo albums last year, and Slaine ended getting the best beats…wtf??
