The Numbers Game: Z-Ro & Mindless Behavior

Not really too much to report this week in terms of album sales. Tony Bennett‘s Duets II album made him the oldest living person to ever top the Billboard 200.

Also, Mindless Behavior dropped their debut album, #1 Girl, which landed at #7. This is officially the second time I’ve ever heard of Mindless Behavior with the first being when radio host Charlamagne recently asked them some “inappropriate questions” (Did I mention that they were a R&B boy band?). *Shrugs*

Z-Ro was basically the lone Hip-Hop debut this week to make the Top 200 with his album Meth. From what I’ve heard so far, it’s a pretty good (Review?). It lands at #85.

Now next week is gonna be a little more crowded since we’ll have releases from artist like J. Cole, Phonte, 9th Wonder, & Evidence.

Sidenote: Did J. Cole really sell 115,000 albums in one day?

Hip-Hop/R&B album sales for the week of 9/20/11

Young Barry White. The geek out of the bunch. He is also Jay-Z’s biggest fan. He looks like your cousin from the burbs. He is “Pro Black” (not anti-white, just “Pro Black”). Probably the wittiest out of the bunch. It is said that he got fired from the same job three times.

They say Cole bout to drop 250. Wow

    • Rickjamesbitch

If he does then my hope in hip hop will be completely restored. He definitely deserves it and he doesn’t even have a top 40 single, he’s just been grinding.

  • Atmosphere

I can’t wait to seenwxt weeks sales! And I say Cole does 190k

  • http://nappyafro.com H2O

If Cole breaks 200k with no hit single out, Jay is gonna be one happy man.

  • Practical

    I don’t know how the fuck Can’t Get Enough isn’t a hit single…but whatever

    • Rickjamesbitch

I think it will be eventually but right now Workout is still in rotation, Can’t Get Enough should’ve been the lead single

  • perthcity

damn game did some bad numbers..
