Of course Birdman drops his first single, off his upcoming album Bigger Than Life, the same week Lil’ Wayne basically sells a million albums.

But then again, why am I mad? I’m not. “Y.U.Mad” is kinda catchy (And who doesn’t like Nicki talking about how clean her pussy is). This should be better and it sounds like it was recorded a while ago, but it’ll do.

    I actually have to give Birdman an inordinate amount of props for this. I mean, think about it. This is the first time any CM/YM song has sounded this good since its height in ’08/’09ish. Birdman’s album might actually wind up being one of the best this year. Considering the complete ass quality of most music these days, Birdman STILL knows what sounds good, which a lot of people don’t.

    I’m declaring this Birdman Appreciation Day, because I’m realizing how many bangers this dude has made through a combination of his privileged position and good taste in spite of being such a terrible rapper. I mean, the majority of his songs have at least one of the worst verses of all time in it, and some of them STILL rank among the best songs in the year they’re released.
