Kelly Rowland feat. Busta Rhymes, Fabolous, & Trey Songz – “Motivation (remix)”

B-Easy June 6, 2011 20

I tired my hardest not to post this song just for it’s sheer R&B’ness of it (Besides letting the new FROCAST breath a little bit on the front page). But after denying it yesterday and today, here’s the remix of Kelly Rowland‘s hit “Motivation” featuring Trey Song, Busta, & Loso (By the way, Fab has the best line in the song. Word to Smokey!).

But did I post this because the original version with Weezy has been killing the charts? Because the song has been “remixed” to hell by other artists like R. Kelly, Jeremih, & The-Dream? Naw, it’s because Kelly has been looking really REALLY good lately. Motivation is that picture up above. A Banger and it’s not even Tuesday yet. Oh, and I like the song too.

Remember when Remixes had different beats than the original song? This shit is long outta hand…and this song doesn’t need any rappers on it AT ALL. I don’t even like Weezy on the original. Aside from the song just being….cool…these name grabs and oversaturation are killing it.

Why does Busta sound better on otha folks shit…but on his own *yawn*?

That show you how lazy a lot of artist have became these days. I’ll even see if the lyrics was different but nope. Back in the day the remixes would be better than the original sometimes like Redman “Rockafella”. I really hate this song with a passion I just can’t get into it and it is annoying as fuck. The music industry is getting so boring and predictable nowadays.

Busta just isn’t the same Busta after he cut off the dreads and stop doing them crazy videos. He definitely sound better on other people stuff, the last few albums he dropped was duds. I think the last album I liked was Extinction Level….

Now, I have to agree about the remixes being kinda lazy these days. Even more so after I heard Just Blaze talk about the reasoning a while back and how the BDS radio tracking system works. Record companies want the spins of a record but the machine won’t count it if the beat is too different. So they keep the beat the same so the original record get more spins.

      Yea. Radio.

If they’d thought that way back in the day, we’d have no “One More Chance (remix)”.

Brotha Easy….where the fuck you get that article from? This dude is like the Oracle of Hip Hop.

Man that shit is stupid. These companies make things so difficult man! I think the last song I can remember that sounded different from the original version is Fabulous “Money In The Bag” remix with Drake which was better than the original version.

Interesting video though but damn it make me pissed on how these record companies are. Thats why they are steadily losing money and just going down. All that payola destroyed a lot of shit mainstream since DJ’s be force feeding us with a lot of bullshit on the radio. Only time I like the radio when they play some old school shit since a lot of the old school singles wasn’t too corny and didn’t sound forced.

Man if they would have never done a One More Chance remix I don’t know how Biggie career would have been without it but then again Big was talented as hell and I think he would have succeeded regardless. One More Chance remix isn’t no where near my favorite Biggie song though.
