Song of the Week: Jadakiss feat. Allen Iverson – “A6″
It’s look like Allen Iverson is headed back to the 76ers. Even though I wanted him to land in Cleveland with LeBron and Shaq and a better chance at a ring (I bet he would have came off the bench then), it’s nice and symbolic for him to go to Philli.
For Song of the Week we gonna take it back to 2003 when Iverson was flirting with rap dreams (I see you Jewels!) and Reebok was getting rappers to do commercials for their ball players. The one that sticks out is the one with Jadakiss & A.I. trading verses (The Scarface/Steve Francis one was hot too). Even though the track was a commercial for the new A6 shoe, Jada’s lyrics did The Answer justice:

The Cavs??? Nah. This is where A.I. always belonged. Cavs won’t even make it to the finals this year, real talk.
The main problem was Iverson not wanna come off the bench right? I’m sure Gary Payton didn’t mind playing his role when Miami got their ring. A.I. could have brought that to the Cavs.
Yeah that’s all well and good in concept…but the Cavs aren’t gonna win this year.
Finals is gonna be Celtics Vs. Lakers, Celtics in 6 games. Celtics are gonna be determined this year because they realize that it’s this year or nothing.
