i got to say this...yall should consider makeing this your first 5 star. do yall rly think black mozart and have mercy brought the album down? i think not. theyre both awesome. fuck it every track is awesome! this in my opinion is the only album reviewed on this site that can even come close to that. i see no flaws in production or the lyricism itself. to me this is a perfect album. CHEF!

Great review Kareem. My only main disagreement was Black Mozart. I thought that beat was slamming. RZA really perfected the drums on that track.

This is no doubt the best album of 2009 (so far). There was no skip tricks, and what most people called filler is still solid. Plus, there is ATLEAST ten standouts, which seems impossible for this decade.

The biggest suprise I found to this album was the production. The chef came up with an legendary hip hop lineup. No wonder this album took a while to be released. These are top notch beats. Although, I wasn't feeling Catalina that much. I felt Dre used the same piano type beat that was on P.I.M.P; he just changed the loop. The concept stayed on point throughout the album and kept it balanced and mafioso like. Furthermore, the storytelling rhymes brought everything together. Rae and almost all of the guest appearances brought some of their nicest (raw & rugged) rhymes.

Anyways, I advise all true hip hop heads to pick this up. You won't be dissapointed. Just listen to it instead of hearing it.

Top 5: House Of Flying Daggers, Cold Outside (fav), New Wu, Ason Jones, Walk Wit Me

Grade: (4.7/5) A+

Also i don't get the hate on Black Mozart, listen to it more, you'll get into it. Plus RZA's yelling at the end of the track is pretty ridicolous.

Pyrex Vision is so short for a reason: It proves Raekwon is such a detailed MC that he can pack so many details in a short time that you're practically cooking crack with him. This album is so past my expectations, might be a classic even.

Oh god, this album is bananas from the get go. Probably the illest track (IN my opinion), is definitely the show starter, House Of Flying Daggers. Everyone (even though Meth was my least fave, but still presentable) gives quotables, from "I pop off like a mobsta boss / Angel hair with the lobsta sauce," "Crying loud searing up / Bury me in africa, with whips, spears and rough diamonds out of Syria," "The team gotta eat / Our seeds is hungry / Ain't afraid to dump on niggas cuz our guns is chunky." But besides my apparent love for that track, this album was completely, no skippables (Although that Mozart track is meh, so is Baggin Crack, though they're not bad) But serious, I listenined to the lyrics, and boy, they're like searing with stories and seamed with the tales of the cities. Haha, I appreciate the shoutout to Chinatown and NYC on Canal Street too.

I can probably consider this a modern - day classic, but I gotta hear it a bit more to be definitely sure.

You know what's really sad here brother? The fact that midget ass Raekwon put out a decent album and you dumbasses are still bringing up The Blueprint 3. Why can't this album stand on it's on? Is it that you really love Raekwon or you all want Jay-Z to fail? Some people deserve a headbutt off the top rope. Word to Bam Bam Bigelow!
