"I Get Up" is lackluster compared to some of the other songs. Standing alone, it's great. Also, you're critique is bogus... Illmatic is classi

Hi! I just wanted to say that the sample for the last song of the album, "losing my balance" comes from a song from the singer Sara Tavares. The music is named Balance. She's from Cape Verde, an ex portuguese colony, so there's a wonderful mixture of classic guitars and african feeling in her music.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1C9mWN8vKHQ

I advise you all to take a little peak at portuguese music. Search for "Fado" in youtube. Names like Ana Moura, Amália Rodrigues, Camané, etc.

ex: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jt0WUyrG8b8

And for sampling, i suggest that you look for the words "guitarra portuguesa" or "viola de fado"

ex: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJpXJh3gQSI

I don´t know if anyone is really interested in this kind of information, but i had to take the chance to promote portuguese music eheheh

V-G....what is up with you? 'I Get Up' is "lackluster" to you? That track is mind-blowing. I don't understand the Drake comparisons either. Yeah,,,he kind of looks like Drake but their styles and content have nothing in common. A completely inane comparison. Overall your critique of "The Warm-Up" is bogus. You probably consider albums like 'Illmatic' and 'Uptown Saturday Night' to be boring at best.

Diverse & Complex are the words to describe J.Cole "The Warm Up". His vast delivery with impressive word play immediately separates himself from his rap peers. The songs that gives J.Cole a spotlight de severed attention is "Hold It Down" & Jay-z own classic "Dead Presidents II". If we are going to compare Drake's So Far Gone Mix tape to J.Cole's "The Warm Up" mix tape I'm honestly going have to give the edge to J.Cole ... He gives the essence of old-school hip hop and a twist of deep concept to his songs.. We are looking at the New School Rap Leader !!
