Jay-Z feat. Kanye West & Rihanna – “Run This Town”

run-this-town-front

Let me tell you about unfairness. Being constantly called the Jay-Z “stan” of this site but not being able to listen to his first single off Blueprint 3, “Run This Town”, the morning it comes out. Yep, I’m somewhere where I have a connection but the computer has no sound. All the radio stations where suppose to play this song at 9:11 am this morning but I missed that shit too. So, like a LOT of other sites, I will post up a song I have not listened too (For the first time might I add). Enjoy. Suckers. Update: Okay, I finally listened to it.

  2. V-G says:

This is weak! Come on Jay… We all know you can do better.

  3. King Jerm says:

    *NO HATE*

Kanye got Jay on this one. I hated Rihanna on the hook. They should have went outside the box and got someone else.

*waits for B-Easy’s poll “Are you excited about Blueprint 3?”*

  4. DGAF says:

Word^^^Kanye did work on this one….buts its aight definitely could have been better

  5. Z Money says:

    hot song

  6. JayDeeze says:

First off lemme preface this by sayin I’m a huge Jay fan, been down since Reasonable Doubt…
That being said the song is wack, I mean Ye spit, but Jay-Z sounded like he does on every other track. What happened to “switchin up styles like every 2 rhymes” Hov?

  7. boricua says:

man this song and beat is dope as hell….some ppl r never satisfied w/ nething……kanye def got jay on this…..jay had lik one good line n thts it…….im lovin the beat tho……..

  8. Chip says:

Kanye got him but Jay did good too

  9. Chew says:

The production is pretty decent, kinda along the lines of D.O.A. I don’t mind the song at all, Rihanna’s hookplay is mhm, ok I guess, Kanye West’s verse was beating Jigga-man no matter how dope he is.

  10. mufucka says:

It was decent. I was feeling the beat, but not the chorus, and felt jay should’ve came harder than that. no homo.

  11. 450 unda the hood says:

this was a watered down version of “Swagga Like Us”.

    Kanye went IN!

Jay aint came hard since The Black Album. I don’t see why ya’ll just now catching on.

    • bLacKouT...HD says:

Yeah u right n im a big Jay-Z fan but i co-sign he hasnt came hard since da Black Album.. Da song is still good though but would have been better if Jay didnt sound so relax

    • boricua says:

na man you must have not listened to “American Gangster”……jay still had it in him…….listen to the last track on there…..its called “fallin” it has Bilal on the hook….j def has plenty of quotables on that album n not only that he has solid songs….

basically kingdom come was a lil rough, american gangster straightened out a few rough edges, so blueprint 3 should b classic……so far jay is 2/2 in my book wit bp3 so far……….

  12. mufucka says:

I know this doesn’t have anything to do with the song, but has anyone seen this video yet? It’s The Game bringing up Jay-Z fans on stage in the UK and dissing them. How is he going to do that to people who pay money to see him? I say it’s time for Jay-Z to step up to the mic.

    • Chip says:

That is even more reason to stay away, the game is a fucking clown lol. The best part is when the white kid comes up during Show Me What You got and gets game mad as hell lol. Also did anybody see that list that someone made listing 80 times Game has referenced Jay in a rap?

  13. JSK says:

This is a hot song from Jay and I’m gettin ready for Blueprint 3.

  14. H2O says:

I don’t think that Kanye killed Jay. Jay held his own: “We are, call me Black Ceasar/Follow the leader/Eric B we are”.

Overall this song was Aiight. I feel like rappers nowadays feel like they have to make a song like this to appeal to radio. But its got a hard edge to it, so it’s cool. BP3 is like THISCLOSE to classic right now.

    • V-G says:

hell naw man… 2 songs? And Jay was sooo weak on here!

    • King Jerm says:

Come on H2O..you spending too much time in that water. The shit is messing with your brain.

      SMH

    • Chip says:

Co-sign. I have high hopes for this, besides the questionable guest stars. This whole buildup feels like more of a comeback than Kingdom Come ever did in retrospect. @V-G, Jay isnt weak at all, especially the first verse. Public Enemies reference was sick

  15. boricua says:

this is by far my anthem for the rst of the year!…..the beat is sooo sick i think its underated….n thn kanyes verse to me is 1 of his best in awhile
