Birdman feat. Lil’ Wayne, Rick Ross, & Young Jeezy – “Always Strapped (remix)”
May 27, 2009 by B-Easy

Most of the time we either post high profile songs or ones that we’re really into; this is the latter. I’m not the biggest Lil’ Wayne fan (Two words: over exposed) and most of the time I think Birdman is a liability on tracks. But for some reason I love this song (The original more than the remix). The hook is crazy and the beat…the beat is just sick. I first heard “Always Strapped” on one of the few occasions I listen to the radio in my car (Most of the time I’m NPR’n it), and immediately I knew this was the shit. The remix just recently got released and it’s okay. At least we get a cleaned up version with Jeezy’s verse (The quality of the one off Trappin’ Aint Dead is horrible). And even though this song is supposedly off Birdman’s upcoming album Priceless, there’s really nothing that can get me excited about that album. Here’s the original and remix versions; tell us what you think.

“Niggas be muggin me, you know I mug em back!”
“niggas give me dap, bitches give me hugs”
this used 2 b the shit tht me n my boys bumped back in high school….damn good times
“always stay strapped wen i hit the club”
This is my shit!
Wayne is the Michael Jordan of Rap…he makes everyone around him better!
What happened to the original original with Juelz??? Mixtape songs always find their way onto an album. In either track or verse form.
DAMN. this is the wayne i started to listen to. great hook and beat. birdman and wayne do it to it. original is better, in terms of song and actual sound quality. why cant wayne still be like this?
