Buy Guns; Don’t Fight Dogs

I am introducing yet another column where I give it to you RAW & UNCUT! No second takes, no do overs, straight off the top, without sparing anyone’s feelings. This week one of my favorite rappers made the news (not that he wasn’t in it anyway) by only having to serve 2 months of his already LOW sentence. I’m all for a someone beating the system, but this one made me nauseous! T.I. was facing 10 years for each or his 3 counts for purchasing firearms and silencers. So if you do the math, that is 30 years! He was sentenced to 366 days, which was put off so he could handle some business. I had always thought that he wasn’t going to do any time, but when the airways were flooded this week about him getting credit for his “home detention” I was livid. Is this the same home detention that allowed him to perform at the Grammy’s? The same home detention that allowed him to perform at various spots? Is this the same home detention that allowed him to visit nightclubs? So how can you credit it as TIME SERVED? I know this is coming off as bitter, but I just want to know if I go out and do the same thing, will I get the same deal? How can the justice system explain this to all the other guys that are serving time for doing the same thing? I am still a fan of T.I. and I will continue to listen to his music, but in the back of my mind I will always wonder how he got this SWEET of a deal.
WELCOME HOME MIKE VICK!

Stop hatin’!:)
Yeah, it seems if I kick a dog I can get more time that robbing a nigga. I’m still kicking a dog though!
I like animals myself but they really do value animal life than a person life, I don’t think that is right. T.I. did get a sweet deal, don’t know how but somebody know something.
Yeah, I agree, it’s some bullshit. If there wasn’t so much hype around Vick, I doubt he’d get that long of a sentence. I guess the media has an impact on the judicial system too.
I looked it up, and it was just confirmed that T.I. will still have to do at least 10 months of jail time, and after that he’ll have two more months of community service.
Still a LIGHT sentence. He was facing a MANDATORY sentence.
Man, from 30 years, to about a year or so, now it’s like 10 months? I know T.I’s all sincere about his sentence and all, but even he has to honor some of the time.
This is what happens when you…. 1. Have money. 2. Have the best attorney’s. 3. Seem remorseful and take responsibility/accountability for your actions.
Hopefully, this will bring some good to others. Hopefully, this will change some of the content of his music.
thats bullshit. u know if any of us did the same we wud be serving 40 just because.
T.I. is a SNITCH. Nothing else to say about that.
T.I. has the luxury of money and a media image on his side, two things that the average joe in the same predicament would lack and therefore affect his fate. yea this izz the justice system in which we live in…
