I can just tell from your name that you dickride the rappers from your area and probably rate swagger over lyricism. That’s probably why you took offense to my comment.

Mef and Red have been using their same style since muddy waters, tical, whut? thee album, wu-tang projects, dare iz a darkside, etc. would you rathem them change their style to something more Rick Ross like and rap about slangin’ when he was really a correctional officer?

If you want to go to summer school, just let me know and i’ll enlist you in my teachings.

Looks like 2 different people did the reviews..might be why they are rated totally different.

What does it matter where they live? NY can’t buy a vowel in the rap game right now..so I hope you don’t think they deserve a pass on that tip, or the fact that its Red & Meth and you are living off their old glory. Face it, Red can rap, but he isn’t talking about nothing. Meth..where do I start? Ever thought about that?

After reading through your review, I didn’t think the rating would be that low. I just don’t understand how you give albums low ratings that are solid but bullshit like Deeper Than Rap a good rating? It must have something to do with where you’re from. And I still believe alot of reviewers on this site only listen to the album one or two times when they should be listening to it more than that before dropping a review. Anyways not a bad review, just didn’t agree with the rating for the most part.

The album isn’t as good as the first Blackout!, but still a bangin album. There really isn’t any skips, so it’s a great album to play all the way through. Some lacking beats really get saved from Mef & Red’s verses. I would have this in my top 10 (maybe 15) of 2009.

Top 5: A-Yo, City Lights, Father’s Day, Dis Iz 4 All My Smokers, Four Minutes To Lock Down

wow, i must say i been giving this more listens and i dunno why i didnt like this more when i first gave it spins. i also got the first blackout a lil while back and thats gud shit to. i mean tho this album is my shit at this point and time. all this shit b gud to me. i say this a 4 now.

Great review, it’s exactly what I thought even if I’m a huge fan of their first album…
Poor beats, we don’t find the crazy nuts insane spirit of the first album …
Only few songs are good, none is exceptionnal like Da rockwilder, Blackout, Cereal Killer or Cheka …
Both Red Gone wild and 4:21 the day after were decreasing in quality … that’s too bad !

the album is fire, my favs are mainly the ones you dont like. neva herd dis b4 is crazy hard, you can speed to that. im dope nigga is fire, lil bit, fathers day is my daughters fav and mines but erebody scream and city lights should have been deleted its not courney but its just alright. lyrically for the album they are there with that, its just the choices of certain beats thats the only pitfall, giving the album 4 stars out of 5
