I agree with about the total review. I think Common needs to stick to the soulful production because he can’t keep up on these techno-hip-pop beats (The Neptunes did a good job in my opinion). I would have to say this is probably his worst record.

Top 5: Universal Mind Control, Punch Drunk Love (fav), Gladiator, Changes, Everywhere

for the record i say hell do 100,000-120,000……………..mark my words……………..but man i hard nuthin but praise of his last 2 albums and then this one i heard nuthing but bad reviews lol………………..i dont really care cus hes is prolly one of the high regarded emcees that i really hav eno interest in…………i mean hes good ya but hes jus boring to me…………..wow theres like no good albums coming out i jus realized for lik the whole month lol……

Well common’s sales won’t be predicted till next week, but it is very likely that he will be going in the range of 60,000-110,000. 15,000 would be an insult. Common has a rather large fanbase with his last two albums debuting at #2 and #1, with each at least moving over 100,000 copies (Finding Forever sold 155,000 first week).

Oh yeah, how do people like that Announcement song? It turned me off the first time I heard it. Although, Sex 4 Suga is even worse. I attempted to listen to it … some bad times on the bus.

Dissapointing? Yes, to Common fans, or even people who bump Common a little bit. I know this album has that catchy vibe, simplistic lyrics (like What a World), but this album is something I would bump on a lazy Saturday, maybe a few “What A Worlds” or “UMC’s” would suit me.

Decent? To maybe people who don’t know Common, or someone whos been told. I mean, technically its not a bad album, but theres nothing much that can seperate it from the rest of the pack this year. And this year was surprisingly decent for Rap music. I hope mainly for the 09’s season (Timbos, Jiggas, Clipse, 50, oh boy)

Great rating, same what I would’ve given it.
