Well with this installment of Song of the Week, I decided to point out something that was emailed me the other day. My boy Guy Fawkes told me about this certain website that was swagger jacking the Fro! I was going to let this slide because imagery is the biggest form of flattery, but I just couldn’t keep quiet about this. I’m not tripping on the layout, because we didn’t invent that layout, but look deeper than that! WE LOOK BETTER THAN THEM. They took our flow and ran with it, that’s cool, we was the first ones with it. I’m coming off real bitter now, because I am. This makes me sure of one thing…we must be doing something right here at nappyafro. Let me get off the soapbox and let you guys enjoy this installment of Song of the Week!

KJ you picked the perfect song for the situation in Jay-Z’s “Imaginary Players”. This is my favorite song off the ‘In My Lifetime, Vol. 1′ album ever since I saw the music video on ‘Streets Is Watching’. I don’t know why so many people hate and say ‘In My Lifetime, Vol. 1′ was Jay’s worst album. Are you crazy??!!!? Most of that album is classic cuts without much track skipping. Jay was in a whole different mindstate with this song and the album, you can tell in his lyrics, flow, and delivery. Yeah you’re right a lot of the stuff that Jay is saying in this song is still relevant today, that’s crazy 4real.

Lol, yeah that’s some funny shit. That review they did for ‘Theater Of The Mind’ was absolutely horrible. At least we here at nappyafro care to do track-by-track reviews, nappypicks, and downloads instead of lame scores for each track and a short overall response.
