Personally, I perfer Em over Jay, but I still appreaiate Jay’s work. Also you said American Gangster wasn’t heard too much, but it did go platnium,so I don’t get what you are saying.

Encore better than BP2 and Vol. 3!?? GOH, Vol.3 was near-classic, encore was no where near that. and I’d say BP2 is about equal with Encore. But yeah, Em deserves the title, i never said that. But I think we can all agree Encore sucked.

@ King Jerm. Every rapper has their bad album but it was still a descent album and still better than bp2, vol 1, vol 3, kc. MMLP had no fall off. The end of the was hot too. Criminal, under the influence, amityville, and bitch please were hot as hell. Even Dre just came out and said that the MMLP was the best album he’s put together. Im far from a stan. Im a huge jay fan. Im just saying that Eminem is as deserving of the title as Jay and more deserving than most.

@ P-Body…yea I forgot Imaginary Player…that’s flossing at its finest, one of my fave Jay songs. I think Em is a great lyricist but to be honest I’ve never bumped a full album, Eminem show is probably my favorite, and I dont end up listening to Em that much on the ipod, he’s either silly or just plain depressing. And I am definitely looking for a full DP3. But back to the bracket @ Chew, I think Jay has become more mainstream over the years in part due to Def Jam position, Beyonce rumors and other business deals, but ever since his post retirement albums I feel like he’s fallen out of the good graces of the rap community minus die hards like me. Heres hoping he gets back on top with the new Blueprint

The first part of MM was hot, then after track 8 or 9, it started to fall off.
SSLP had about 5 good songs on it.

Take a cue from ya boy and quit being a STAN! which is a great song by the way.

You can’t really even name a bad Eminem song. That’s how consistent he is. Eminems first four albums are probaly better than any other hip hop artists first four albums. Who can name a bad Eminem song cause I can name off the top of my head “I Know What Girls Like”, “Things that you Do”, “Hello Brooklyn”, “Always be my sunshine”, and there are a lot of other songs that Jay should’ve never let touch a CD.

Shocker. I mean, past or so year, Jay has gotten like even more mainstream appeal, and since Eminem hasn’t dropped an album since Encore (The Raw and Uncut mixtape don’t count). Well, obviously I respect both of them (who doesn’t?), but still, being more of a Jay fan than a Em fan, then I would like to cast my vote for the Jiggaman. But seriously, who leaves Rakim, KRS- One off the list? And who puts out of all things, Diddy and even Shawty Lo. Hilarious.

Wow Em won huh…

I’m a little shocked since he haven’t put out an album in a while. I didn’t like Encore at all, I really hated that album. I remember when that album came out, and I bumped it in my ride, and I was very upset just like when he decided to fuck up 2Pac album “Loyal To The Game”, luckily I have a lot of the original songs from that album so I can substitute the horrible production Em did for Pac. I’m just being real, this is from a big Tupac fan, and hip hopper.

Jay-Z Sunshine was weak, City Is Mine is terrible, and especially I know what girls like featuring Puff Daddy and Lil Kim, that song is terrible. Everytime I listen to that song, I wonder what Jay-Z was thinking. In My Lifetime Volume 1 wasn’t a bad album, it had about 3 to 4 songs that was terrible but besides that he had good songs like Imaginary Player, Streets Is Watching, Real Niggaz with Too $hort, Where I’m From, A Million And One Questions, and etc.

Blueprint 2 wasn’t terrible but it isn’t that good either, I bump a few selected joints. I feel Volume 3 could have been more better though because that song with Mariah Carey sucked, and the song S.Carter with Amil didn’t hit me too good either.

Em first two CDs was really good to me, and Eminem show was pretty good too but once again that Encore had me scratching my head crazy. I didn’t feel Re-Up too much even though it was more of a compilation album. Hopefully Eminem new LP will be the shit, I’m looking forward to Blueprint 3. Word to Jay-Z “You better put the complete version of Dead Presidents 3!! That snippet is dope”.

VIBE magazine and source really been tripping over the years. I don’t know what to say about them guys right now. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion but some shit is off the chain, and the staff within that magazine family know they are tripping with some of the list. What happened to Scratch Magazine by the way?

Blueprint II was an underated and a very good Jay-Z Album. The only problem was that it had way too much fill but it did have the quality songs. Kingdom Come now that is a bad album for Jay-z standards. Em is overated in my opinion. He is always either being too foolish or too depressing. Jay has a much better flow and makes better music in my opinion. Jay also has more variety. I just named Em’s too types of songs that he makes: commical or depressing.
