Well, look at this. Even though King Jerm didn’t exactly love Raw Footage, you gotta give props to Ice Cube. He might not sale as much as his last album (Laugh Now, Cry Later sold 144,000 in it’s first week), but Cube’s been it the game for 23 years…and he’s only 39! Looking at it that way, 70,000 album sales isn’t bad at all. Read more

I been saying I was gonna drop something a little older for a while now. I guess this is what you do when you can’t put up another Jezzy song (We all know The Recession leaked yesterday) and the new T.I. songs are everywhere. I just recently re-found this one on the old older iPod. Read more

What’s good, nappyafro? I had to step out for a minute to take care of some school work, but I’m back with another column straight from The Stoop. Remember that Vibe Magazine vote I told you about? If you don’t, about a month or two ago, Vibe decided that they would settle who is the best rapper alive once and for all Read more

It’s been 3 years since The Game dropped his multi-platinum debut The Documentary. Since then, a lot has changed for the Compton sensation. Outside of the very first rap album ever released, this is the most important album in the history of Hip-Hop music and culture. The effects of this monumental album live on not just in music, but in our everyday lives. Wow, who knew T.I. would pull out the big guns like this? I saw this the other night but it was late and I thought it was a blend or some shit. After waking up late as hell, I guess I was wrong. The song is not bad, but it seems like they all had a vocoder/Auto-Tune party. Read more

Nappy Roots|The Humdinger (by SBK)

Not being a huge fan of the group Nappy Roots, I haven’t really been to big on them since their debut album Watermelon, Chicken & Gritz released in 2002, which featured the hit singles “Awnaw” and “Po’ Folks”. This is their third studio album since their 2003 release Wooden Leather Read more

Ha! You thought I wasn’t gonna make this Numbers Game in time did you? Okay, so you probably didn’t really care, but let me keep fronting. This week we only have one big debut in terms of Hip-Hop. That lone spot is held by Mr. “Dark Butts” himself, Yung Berg. Read more

I know you wondering; Didn’t you all do a Song of the Week already? The answer: Yes. But I’m a big enough man to know when I fucked up. The other day when I posted the SOTW, I was trying to plan ahead since I wasn’t going to be around a computer for the rest of the day. Not to say The Game & Ice Cube weren’t good choices. There was just better choices. Read more
