Well, here we are again at another edition of The Numbers Game. Is it any surprise that Usher took the top spot on the Billboard charts this week? Yea, he only did half of what his 2004 album Confessions did; but hey times are different now. What’s really crazy is Fergie returning to the charts, not one time, but twice (With a reissue of her first album). Oh yea, and Al Green’s makes a return. You heard right, Al Green! Let’s get this thing rolling…
#1 Usher/Here I Stand (Last Week: NA) - 443,974; Total: NA [Debut]
#4 Bun B/II Trill (Last Week: #2) - 40,222; Total: 138,566 [2 Weeks]
#8 Mariah Carey/E=MC2 (Last Week: #7) - 35,581; Total: 967,568 (Gold) [7 Weeks]
#9 Al Green/Lay It Down (Last Week: NA) - 33,953; Total: NA [Debut]

#27 Jordin Sparks/Jordin Sparks (Last Week: #19) - 15,000; Total: 793,000 (Gold) [28 Weeks]
#28 Fergie/The Dutchess (Last Week: #104) - 15,000 ; Total: 3,627,200 (3x Platinum) [89 Weeks}
#29 Lyfe Jennings/Lyfe Change (Last Week: #37) - 14,000; Total: 161,000 [5 Weeks]
#44 Alicia Keys/As I Am (Last Week: #50) - 11,600; Total: 3,490,400 (3x Platinum) [28 Weeks]
#46 Fergie/The Dutchess: The Deluxe E.P. (Last Week: NA) - 11,000; Total: NA [Debut]

So Al Green’s title is Lay it Down? Does he know that is a robbery slogan?
Damn, Usher damn near went gold in one week?
If I was a rapper and I was just doing it for money, I would take singing lessons.
Usher is doing incredibly well for how poorly the industry is right now.
I suspect that Disturbed, Weezer, and Usher will be battleing for #1 next week.
